He failed to provide a solution or any clear roadmap to address the topic
Missouri state senator Josh Hawley has claimed that feminism and anti-masculine rhetoric has led to men consuming more pornography and video games.
Speaking at the National Conservatism Conference in Orland, Florida, Hawley talked at length about “manhood” and specifically how he believes it is under attack.
He continues to say that masculinity is under attack, and many of his comments seem to echo that of far-right groups like the Proud Boys, reports the Guardian.
I don't know about you guys but Josh Hawley will never be the arbiter of Masculinity in any paradigm in which I may exist.
I tossed around a few ideas and configurations and couldn't get there in any dimension.

“Can we be surprised that after years of being told that they are the problem, that their manhood is the problem, more and more men are withdrawing into the enclave of idleness and pornography and video games?” Hawley said.
“While the left may celebrate this decline of men, I for one cannot join them. No one should.”
He continued: “The left want to define traditional masculinity as toxic.
Josh Hawley wants a return to "traditional masculinity".
As my wife & I are co-equals, I had trouble envisioning the "virtuous state" he wants men to return to.
Then this poem came to me.

“They want to define the traditional masculine virtues – things like courage, and independence, and assertiveness – as a danger to society.”
Hawley has a track record of speaking out in support of so-called traditional values. In 2018, the senator spoke out in support of Brett Kavanaugh when he was accused of sexual assault during his supreme court nomination hearing.
He continued: “Boys are increasingly treated like an illness in search of a cure.”

“Hollywood delivers the toxic masculinity theme ad nauseum in television and film,” he said, going on to link traditional masculinity as “vital to self-government”.
He added: “Observers from the ancient Romans to our forefathers identified the manly virtues as indispensable for political liberty.”
Despite conjuring immense societal problems, Hawley did not offer a solution or even a road map to address the topic.
