Are there parachutes on board?
It might not be Halloween anymore, but one traveller was in for a horrifying surprise when they looked down to see what can only be described as claws peeking from the aisle behind.
Trigger warning: Nasty toes
A Reddit user shared the moment the person behind them on a plane wiggled their feet beneath the chair and exposed them in broad daylight.
But what would you do in that situation, besides open the emergency airlock of course!
Reddit users came up with ingenious ideas, including stepping on their toes, asking one of the flight assistants for help, and even reclining their seat until they are practically lay on the perpetrator.
“Nah, gotta be more passive aggressive about it. Ask the flight attendant for coffee. Make it extra hot. Accidentally spill it all over the feet. Plausible deniability, and as an added bonus maybe the heat will kill some of that toe funk and do ’em a favour,” one user wrote.
Another said: “Don’t just stomp. What you want to do is plant your heel on the toes. And stand up.”
Others drew a comparison between the toes and gang violence.
“Which gang’s colours match the green in that big toe nail?” asked one user.
Another wrote: “Those feet throwing some gang signs.”
But so much is left unanswered.
Did the toes disappear? Did the original poster make it through the flight without committing a crime? Hell, did the flight even land?
Regardless of the outcome, plane etiquette must have been forgotten over lockdown because no sane person would whip out their feet in an enclosed public space.
