Yeah, no idea
Conor McGregor is a strange dude to say the least. We’ve all become accustomed to his extravagance and unapologetic arrogance, but I’m not sure we’ve ever seen something like this before.
In the latest video to be uploaded to his official YouTube channel, ‘Conor McGregor FAST’, the UFC superstar appears in a horse mask, as fellow MMA fighter Peter ‘Showstopper’ Queally is challenged to match the power of exactly one single horse, on a rowing machine.
I’ve never seen a horse row before, but that’s by the by.
Before the challenge, a man dressed as a scientist presents Queally with the challenge, explaining that one horsepower is the equivalent of 735 watts.
McGregor then appears, dressed in fighting gear and a horse mask, to offer some words of encouragement.
“Today we’re going to find out if you can join the elite of the elite on the McGregor FAST programme. Good luck,” he says.
It’s not as hard as it sounds, surprisingly. Queally reaches the 735w mark within two strokes on the rowing machine.
After breaking the record, he is greeted once again by McGregor, still wearing the horse mask.
“Congratulations horse, you’re now an official thoroughbred on the McGregor FAST programme. Congratulations, and here’s your reward: the head of a horse,” he says.
It’s bizarre, it’s a surprisingly straight forward challenge, but it’s well worth a watch.
