The members of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team who attacked Conor McGregor have been released by Las Vegas police.
The main event of UFC 229 descended into chaos after McGregor tapped out to a neck crank from Nurmagomedov in the fourth round of the biggest fight in UFC history.
After successfully defending his lightweight title, Nurmagomedov jumped out of the cage to confront McGregor’ Jiu-Jitsu coach Dillon Danis, who had proclaimed himself a better grappler than Nurmagomedov in the build-up to the fight.
At least two members of Nurmagomedov’s team became involved in a physical altercation with McGregor in the melee and footage emerged of one individual subsequently being handcuffed by police at the T-Mobile Arena.

UFC President Dana White was not short of talking points when he took to the stage to answer questions from the media and he revealed that McGregor had decided not to press charges.
“Conor was one of the guys who was attacked but Conor refuses to press charges,” White said at the post-fight press conference.
“The guys that they did have, they’ve released.
“There were three guys who I think were from Khabib’s team and they were arrested but they were released because Conor didn’t want to press charges.”
White insisted that the UFC-contracted fighters who were involved in the brawl would never fight again in the UFC and also revealed that the Nevada State Athletic Commission had decided to withhold Nurmagomedov’s purse, while McGregor was paid.
White explained: “I talked to [Nevada State Athletic Commisson’s executive director] Bob Bennett and he said he was withholding both guys’ purses and wasn’t going to give them their money.
“Then they went in and they pulled a bunch of footage from us and called me back. They did an interview with McGregor and then they gave him his purse but they’re withholding Khabib’s.”
