Not a happy man.
In front of the television cameras, Pep Guardiola was admirably diplomatic about the chaos that ensued prior to kickoff. The Manchester City team bus was subjected to a raucous reception from Liverpool fans outside Anfield that crossed the line into vandalism when missiles were thrown and windows cracked. The Etihad boss stated: “I know this isn’t Liverpool”.
He and his players were clearly shook by the atmosphere and that was perhaps a factor in their on-field capitulation, as they were thrashed 3-0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final. But to the public he was serene and magnanimous. But behind the scenes he was clearly raging, as leaked footage now shows.
Gol have managed to get their hands on some exclusive footage of the Catalan coach using condescending sarcasm to have a go at the Anfield security staff. However, we must warn you that the footage is geo-blocked in certain countries, so you may not be able to see the video below.

But fear not, because we have translated flash points, courtesy of City Watch. They show Pep pointed sneering “Thank you for protecting us! Thank you very much!” Before following up with “I appreciate what you have done!” and then signing off with “Shame!”
