Jake Paul has claimed that Tommy Fury was “lucky” not to be faced with the Youtuber-turned-boxer on Saturday night.

It appeared at first that the climactic battle between Tommy Fury, 22, and Jake Paul, 24, was finally coming to a climax. However, earlier this month Fury was forced to pull out of the fight due to an injury sustained during training.

Tyron Woodley, 39, stepped up to the plate but was dispatched by Paul, leaving him face down on the floor. Afterwards, Paul took the opportunity to troll his British Rival again, claiming it would’ve been “a lot worse” for Fury.

Logan Paul’s younger brother said: “I’m ready to fight whoever.

“It doesn’t matter if they’re a professional boxer or a five-time UFC champion. I don’t care.

“I’m really built for this. And no matter what I’m gonna get the job done.

“And that’s what I showed tonight.”

Turning his attention to the former Love Island star, Paul continued: “And Tommy Fury is lucky he wasn’t in there tonight. Because Tyron’s way tougher, he has that experience.”

While trolling and smack talk seemingly make up 90 per cent of boxing, Fury and Paul’s long-awaited battle is feeling ever more distant.

Paul had kind-ish words to say about Woodley, who took the fight with only two weeks to prepare.

Paul said: “This is as real as it f***ing gets, just like my right hand.

“I told you I was going to f*** him up and I f***ed him up.

“This guy is a legend, don’t take anything away from his career as a UFC champion and respect him for taking the fight on two weeks’ notice.

“He’s warrior, that was a tough fight right there, he’s a legend.”

Woodley was KO’d by Paul in the sixth round.
