He was just 29. RIP.
Oman international Mukhaled Al-Raqadi has tragically passed away after suffering a heart attack during the warm-up before Muscat FC’s game against Suwaiq.
The 29-year-old died on December 23rd.
“With hearts full of faith and accepting God’s decisions, Muscat Sports Club and all related to it extend their sincerest condolences to the Al-Raqadi family,” a club statement said.
“We ask God to have mercy on him. To God we belong and to God we shall return.”
A video circulating on social media shows Al-Raqadi’s teammates and referees on the day distraught by the tragic event.

This news comes after a number of footballers have suffered from heart-related issues in recent months. Christian Eriksen collapsed during Denmark’s opening Euro 2020 game against Finland, but was thankfully saved by paramedics and recently returned to solo training after he was forced to leave Inter Milan due to Serie A regulations.
Sergio Agüero last week announced that he would be cutting his football career short due to a heart issue that saw him substituted early against Alaves in October after struggling to breathe.
