He has until 26 April to respond
Paul Scholes has been charged by the FA with misconduct for placing 140 bets on football matches, breaching FA Rule E8.
It is alleged that this gambling took place between 17 August 2015 and 12 January 2019.
The former Manchester United midfielder was most recently employed by Oldham, but lasted just a month before parting ways with the League Two club. The club’s owner claims he resigned from the club ‘by text’.
He also has a stake in non-league club Salford City, along with several of his former United teammates.
Scholes has until 26 April to respond to the FA’s charge.
