Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium has got people talking
The club’s decision to leave White Hart Lane for a new larger stadium nearby was widely welcomed by supporters due to a higher capacity and the opportunity for increased match day revenue.
The club spent last season playing their football at Wembley Stadium, reaching the Champions League round of 16 and finishing third in the Premier League despite fears among many fans over their perceived ‘Wembley curse’.
While the new stadium unfortunately won’t be ready in time for the start of the 2018/19 season, it is expected to be ready to host Liverpool on September 15.
New photographs released by the club show that the stadium is getting there, slowly but surely. However, the aerial images posted online provoked a typically bizarre response from social media users, many of whom simply couldn’t resist comparing it to a toilet.
It’s actually shaped like a toilet seat, not surprising when there’s going to be 60,000 a**eholes in there each week. https://t.co/SM4iyxHgJ1

Yes, our stadium is shaped like a toilet seat.
Will all work out well when we're shitting on every team we play each week though.
