Be warned
If you’ve a tendency to spend too much of your hard-earned money on football shirts, steer clear of Paris Saint-Germain for the foreseeable future.
In recent days, we’ve had plenty of nice things to say about their recently released all-white away offering. The shirt itself is lovely, as is the detail that’s been added to the numbers which will be printed on the back of each one.
This, though, is probably not the last PSG shirt to be released this summer that we’ll all be considering splashing out on.
As we told you last week, the French champions’ deal with Nike could see Neymar, Mbappe et al. wear special Jordan kits this season. Jordan are, for those not aware, a subsidiary brand owned by Nike, named after basketball legend Michael Jordan.
Although nothing is confirmed just yet, numerous reports have claimed PSG will wear the Jordan kits during their Champions League matches with their iconic Jumpman silhouette logo replacing the Nike swoosh.
Footy Headlines – a website known for its reliability for new kit releases – claim PSG’s outfield players will wear two different Jordan kits: one black, the other white. And while no images of either of those kits have surfaced just yet, FH have published leaked images of one of PSG’s new Jordan goalkeeping shirts.
Predominantly a pinkish-red colour, the club badge and Jordan logo appear in black, as does the main shirt sponsor. A single vertical stripe made up of a series of black dots also runs down the shirt’s centre.
The full range of Jordan PSG kits, it’s reported, is expected at some point in August.
Better get saving those pennies.
