Stormzy is not happy.
While the grime superstar has, in the past, acknowledged the fact that he resembles Manchester United-bound Romelu Lukaku, he does not find it funny that an Irish newspaper used his photograph on Monday morning, mistaking him for the Belgium international.
The Herald in Ireland accidentally included an image of Stormzy wearing a United tracksuit as the lead photograph in their back page story about the imminent confirmation that Lukaku is to become a United player.
“New Manchester United signing Romelu Lukaku,” the caption read.
The newspaper has since published an apology for the mix-up, releasing the below statement on their website on Monday afternoon.
“Hands up, we got it badly wrong.
“Earlier, we made an error with a picture of Romelu Lukaku that wasn’t him. It was Stormzy.
“To be honest, we are totally embarrassed and want to say sorry to all involved and our readers for the error. We will keep our eye on the ball in future.”
Despite the apology, Stormzy took to Twitter to convey his disappointment with the error and while he didn’t outright reference the paper in question, it was clear what he was talking about.
I don't find none of this funny btw 🤷🏿♂️don't wanna sound like the party pooper who missed the joke…

“I don’t find none of this funny btw,” he wrote.
“Don’t wanna sound like the party pooper who missed the joke.”
Most of his followers agreed with Stormzy’s stance while some suggested he was taking it too seriously and the grime artist took the time to respond to a few who replied to the above tweet.
