It is two weeks since Bury were expelled from the EFL
In the first few weeks of the 2019/20 season, two of the biggest stories in English football were those of Bolton Wanderers and Bury FC – two historic teams whose very futures were under threat due to a failure to provide the funds to ensure the day-to-day running of the respective clubs.
But while Bolton received an eleventh hour reprieve when they were on the verge of expulsion from the English Football League, Bury were not so lucky. Two weeks ago they were kicked out of the league system, and are now left to ponder what’s next.
As the club attempts to piece itself back together and figure out what the future might hold for them, JOE sat down with their youth team manager Ryan Kidd to discuss the impact that the club’s expulsion has had on its young players and their futures within the game.
Bury’s expulsion from the EFL was confirmed weeks ago. Their staff continue to struggle.
I spoke to @RyanKidd8 earlier this week.
Listen to him. It’s so important we don’t let this story fade from the headlines. pic.twitter.com/spJytdu2KX
