“Hook, line and sinker.”
Conor McGregor’s first ever professional boxing match takes place in Las Vegas this weekend. You might have heard.
The UFC star will be up against Floyd Mayweather, a man who’s remained undefeated in 49 professional fights and is widely regarded as one of boxing’s greatest ever pound-for-pound fighters.
Escaping talk of the big fight is likely to prove impossible over the coming days, something the folks over at William Hill knew all too well when they offered Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff the chance to interview McGregor.
Unfortunately for the former England cricketer, he wasn’t actually interviewing McGregor at all. As explained by Robbie Savage at the start of the video below, Flintoff – who had even gone to the trouble of preparing his own questions – was actually interviewing impressionist, Al Foran. This was all one big joke at Flintoff’s expense to mark his first day as a William Hill ambassador.
In fairness to Freddie, he does his best to remain professional and press on with his questioning, despite being called a “fat cricketer” and being accused of licking his interviewee’s arse along the way.
Robbie Savage #punted Freddie Flintoff to celebrate the fact that William Hill won’t be beaten on any price for the fight, with a McGregor win by KO available at 5/2. For all the best prices, head to WilliamHill.com. Odds subject to change.
