We’d be surprised if you don’t have at least eight of the top ten.
You can’t look sideways this weather without catching sight of an end of year list and as they do every year, Apple has released its list of the top 20 most downloaded apps from the App Store over the last 11 and a bit months.
Such is the popularity of the world’s most popular apps that the inclusions on Apple’s list rarely come as a surprise and that’s the case again this year, with social media apps responsible for five of the top ten in 2017.
This year, Snapchat relinquished top spot, but only to an app that is owned by its parent company, Snap, as Bitmoji ranked as the most downloaded app from the App Store this year.
YouTube, Messenger and Instagram make up the top five, with stalwarts like Facebook, Netflix and Spotify all occupying places in the top ten.
Amongst the rest that you might not recognise in the top 20 are shopping app Wish, ride-sharing app Lyft and Google Maps alternative Waze; you can see the top 20 in full below and find more information in the link below.
