We’ve got one very short response to this news – why?
One of the best things about Twitter is its brevity. They say that ‘constraint inspires creativity’, and that is perfectly apparent on the social media platform.
Whether users aim to inform, opine or amuse, they are forced to get to straight to the point and not beat around the bush. But now the powers that be want to change all that.
According to Re/code, Twitter plan to ditch the current 140-character limit in favour of a much, much bigger one – 10,000 to be exact.
The plan is that a 140-word ‘preview’ would still show up on your timeline, but you would then be able to expand it to show the full message…

As you’d expect, Twitter users aren’t best pleased…
Who at @Twitter honestly thinks a 10000 character limit is a good idea and why haven't those people been fired? And where's my Edit button?

Twitter might expand character count of tweets to 10,000 which will ruin the great vibe of crazy run on rant tweets which really piss(1/377)
