Roy Keane has an astonishing lookalike…in this 16th century Italian painting (Pic)

This is spooky...

We love a good lookalike here at JOE.

There’s the classic one of Mesut Ozil looking like the late founder of Italian car firm Ferrari.

Then just the other day we had the Scottish girl who is a dead ringer for Angelina Jolie.

But we now have a clear winner in the lookalike stakes.

Just check out Roy Keane’s 16th Century doppleganger.

The Italian renaissance painting, entitled “Portrait of a Gentleman in a Fur”, has the greying beard, the thick black receding hair and even the menacing stare that made Keane famous.

Painted by Paolo Veronese circa 1550-1560, it can be found in Florence’s Galleria Palatina.

If we’d have seen this in the former Manchester United captain’s footballing prime, we’d have said this was evidence alone to qualify him for the Italian national team.
