The Brazilian sports reporter wasn’t having any of this
Julia Guimaraes, a Brazilian journalist that was reporting from the recent match between Japan and Senegal, expertly dealt with an idiotic man that tried to kiss her while she was doing a live report.
As you can see in the footage below, the man approaches her and tries to kiss her while she’s speaking live on air.
After managing to dodge the kiss, Guimaraes chastises him while telling this individual to never behave like that towards a woman.
Given the fact that any live broadcast is always intensely difficult with a litany of issues to contend with, Guimaraes handles this whole situation with incredible aplomb and grace.
“Don’t do this. Never do this again. OK. Don’t do this. I don’t allow you to do that. Never. Ok?!?! This is not polite, this is not right. Never do this,” she said as the man crept away off camera.

In a statement that was released to Globo Esporte, Guimaraes said that the incident was “awful” and that it made her feel “helpless, vulnerable”.
“This time, I responded but it’s sad people don’t understand why people feel they have the right to do that,” she said.
Sadly, Guimaraes also said that this isn’t the first time that she has encountered harassment at the tournament.
Here’s hoping that idiots like this are thrown out of stadiums for good and that professionals like Guimaraes can continue unharassed at their place of work.
