Trolls are safe to anonymously attack people when they’re behind a screen. In front of a camera, it’s a different story.
That’s what Mark Williams, 30, from Stockton-on-Tees discovered when The Sun exposed him as the troll who sent offensive tweets targeting Katie Price and her disabled son Harvey.
In his tweets, Williams called Harvey a “c*nt” and hoped that he choked on sweets, as well as tweeting support for footballer Adam Johnson, who was sent to prison for having sex with an underage girl.
Today, as a result of the exposé, it’s been reported that Williams has been sacked from his job at a window-manufacturing firm.
A colleague at the firm told The Sun: “He no longer works here. He got sacked today. We don’t know much about it but we were told this morning he’s definitely gone.”

Since being exposed, Williams has deleted some 3,000 tweets; it also appears that his Twitter account has been deactivated. When he was approached by The Sun for comment, he shrugged his shoulders and said he “wasn’t interested”.
Prior to his Twitter account being deactivated, Williams had contacted Katie Price over Twitter to acknowledge that his tweets were in “bad taste” and he was “sorry if he upset Harvey”.
According to The Sun, a police spokesperson said they had not received an official complaint about the trolling.
