Ambulance sent to help a drunk man that’s stuck in a bin

The police were also called.

Friday the 15th of December is traditionally the busiest day for the London Ambulance Service and this year was no exception. In fact, they received over 300 calls an hour.

Why is this? Well, drunk Christmas revellers mean that the emergency services are even busier than usual. They’ve even dubbed this day ‘Mad Friday.’

Throughout the day, ambulance chiefs were urging the public to drink responsibly while drinking but in the case of some people, these warnings fell on deaf ears.

In fact, they even had to dispatch an ambulance to help a drunk man that’s stuck in a bin.

As reported by the Standard, London’s Ambulance Services received 6,279 calls in total on Friday.

Regarding this seismic increase, Kevin Bate, LAS deputy director of operations, elaborated upon a very important point: “Every ambulance crew who responds to someone who has had too much to drink is a crew not responding to another ill or injured person who needs us.”

Case in point, this gentleman below.

Again, if you’re having a drink over the festive period, please be responsible.
