They are appealing for more information
Boxing trainer Pete Taylor is believed to have been the target of gunman who shot three people, including Taylor, at Bray Boxing Club on Tuesday, killing one.
According to The Irish Times, Gardaà believe Taylor may have been the target due to a personal grudge from west Dublin drug dealers. However, there is no suggestion that Taylor himself was involved in any criminal wrongdoing.
50-year-old, father of three, Bobby Messett was killed in the shooting while boxing coach Pete Taylor and another man were injured.
Taylor is the father of professional boxer and Olympic gold medallist Katie Taylor.
Gardaà have appealed for information from the public to help track the gunman which killed one man and injured two others in a shooting in Bray boxing club on Tuesday.
They are trying to trace the movements of the silver coloured Volkswagen Caddy van with a Northern Irish registration which used in the shooting.
It is believed that the van travelled from Bray through Shankill and the Cornelscourt area before being abandoned on Pigeon House Road area of Dublin at approximately 8.05am. A male was seen leaving the van and cycling away.
Gardai wish to appeal:
- to anyone who witnessed the movements of this van along the route travelled between 7am and 8am this morning
- to anyone with Dash Cam footage along this route between 7am and 8am
- to anyone who witnessed the male cycling away from Pigeon House Road at approximately 8.05am
