Spare a thought for French broadcaster TV5Monde, everyone.
They’ve have had a tough time of it lately, with hacking fears leading to 11 of their stations being taken off air and their social media accounts being taken over.
While French authorities investigate how this all came about, reporter David Delos gave an interview which very nearly made matters worse for his employers.
Unwittingly, Dave went and positioned himself slap bang in front of a desk area above which helpful pieces of paper revealed passwords and usernames to various social media accounts operated by the broadcaster.
Thankfully, in a week when you’d expect people within the broadcasting company to be extra careful with such information, it appears Monsieur Delos has been let of the hook.
Although passwords for YouTube and Instagram were said to be visible, much of the information wasn’t clearly displayed, meaning that no further damage has been done… yet.
Better get changing those passwords, folks.
