A side of football nobody wants to see.

Video footage has emerged which appears to show Manchester City fans singing a song about the Munich Air Disaster following Sunday’s derby defeat at Old Trafford.

The video appears to have been taken by a City supporter, and seemingly captures a number of supporters mocking the tragedy in which 23 people died in February 1958.

Along with a number of Manchester United players, former Manchester City goalkeeper Frank Swift lost his life as the plane crashed on take off from Munich airport.

Rivalries are part of what makes football great, but mocking death is never acceptable.

Incidents like this blacken the name of the sport and its supporters.

Spare a thought too for the majority of Manchester City fans who will no doubt be sickened by this video.
