The body of a suspected migrant has been found trapped underneath a bus at the Eurotunnel terminal in Folkestone
Kent Police force was called shortly after 11:10 GMT to the terminal, where the person was declared dead at the scene.
The body is believed to be that of a migrant and efforts have been made to locate and contact the person’s next of kin.
As it stands the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesman for Eurotunnel said: “A body was found on a coach travelling to France, by the authorities at the border controls in Folkestone.
“We have taken care of the remaining passengers from the coach until another bus can come and pick them up to continue their journey.”
Nine immigrants were also found earlier on Sunday morning by the coast guard, as they were climbing up rocks in Folkestone after crossing the channel in a small boat.
The migrants, believed to be from Iran, called police at 07:30 GMT to say they were in trouble before they were spotted by a member of the public some 45 minutes later.
