MPs have voted to reject leaving the European Union without a withdrawal agreement
After Theresa May’s Brexit deal suffered a second humiliating defeat in the House of Commons on Tuesday, MPs voted by 312 to 308 to reject a no-deal Brexit.
The vote is not legally binding, which means it does not rule out the UK leaving the EU.
It does, however, open up the possibility that MPs could now get a vote which might delay Brexit, meaning the UK will not leave on March 29, as had been planned.
The vote on delaying Brexit will take place on Thursday.
