The practice of farming dogs for meat is common across a large amount of Asia, but a charity based in the United Kingdom is now working to rescue as many dogs as possible and bring them to the UK.
Though it is believed that the practice is declining in popularity, particularly among younger generations, but it persists nonetheless.
It’s believed that up to a million dogs are consumed every year in the country, which has prompted UK charity The Dog Team UK to fundraise to rescue dogs from the Korean meat trade.
We spoke to the charity to find out what drives them to do what they do.
