With a climate of uncertainty across Europe in the wake of the Paris attacks, the British government has offered some important advice.
A new document has been released, detailing the recommended procedure in case of a “firearms or weapons attack”, and the advice is to escape – rather than to hide –Â if you can identify a safe route out.
The government has also offered advice on what to do in the case of a suicide attack or Vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED), in a separate publication entitled ‘Recognising the terrorist threat’.
Prime Minister David Cameron recently revealed that seven potential terrorist attacks have been prevented in the UK in the last six months.
