The boyfriend accused the woman of cheating on him with her own brother
A woman has opened up about an unusual family dynamic that’s infuriated her boyfriend and led to him accusing her of cheating.
She snuggles with her brother to keep warm.
Sharing her story anonymously on Reddit, the 20-year-old woman explained that she has an unusual bond with her older brother, 26, who recently came to stay with her on a work trip.
On a chilly night, the woman said, the pair shared a bed together, snuggling under the covers to keep warm.
Writing on Reddit, the woman detailed how her boyfriend left on a Friday to spend the night at his parents’ house because his mother was unwell, and knew her brother was coming over.
The brother let himself in around 630am and when his sister didn’t wake up, climbed into bed with her.
The woman wrote: “He tells me: ‘If you’re not going to wake up, at least let me get into bed ’cause it’s cold and I’m sleepy too’.
“I say okay and he gets in. We immediately fall asleep.”
When the woman’s boyfriend returned he wasn’t happy.
“He starts saying how this is ‘basically cheating’, asking if we had sex, if we’re in an incestuous relationship, etc., that this is absolutely disgusting and mega inappropriate and other delusional things like that,” the woman wrote.
“I tell him that we’ve always shared a bed while living at home and that this is 100 per cent platonic. He lets me know that ‘we were snuggling under the blankets while sleeping’.

“I tell him yeah, that’s what people do when they share a bed and it’s cold.”
The woman went on to say that the pair argued and are no longer speaking.
Fellow Reddit users and mixed feelings about the situation, the Mirror reports.
One wrote: “I think it’s a little weird for adult brother and sister to snuggle, but the boyfriend is definitely the a*****e for throwing a fit and accusing them of incest.”
Another user wrote:” It’s even weirder that that’s the first place his mind went.”
But a third said: “Yeah I think it’s weird. I honestly wouldn’t share a bed with my brother. One of us could take the couch for the night. Definitely wouldn’t ‘snuggle’ in bed.”
