Man refuses to ‘unclench buttocks’ in order to hide cocaine

A man has pleaded not guilty to refusing to comply with a drug search after allegedly repeatedly clenching his buttocks in an attempt to conceal an item.

On January 17, officers were searching Paul Lamont, 38, at Kilmarnock Police Station – but according to court papers, Lamont refused to unclench his buttocks in an attempt to conceal an incriminating item.

He is also said to have shouted, sworn and behaved aggressively to officers, while threatening violence as well.

Lamont was also allegedly in possession of cocaine, the Ardrossan Herald reports.

Appearing at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court earlier this month, Lamont pleaded not guilty to refusing to comply with the drug search, threatening behaviour and drug possession.

He was granted bail and will return to court at a later date.
