We never really appreciated Nokia as much as we should have when they were all we had.
Sure they were a bit clunky, but now that we live in an era of phone chargers that don’t last two weeks and screens that crack if you speak too loudly, we all miss the sheer invincibility of the 3210.
The Finnish electronics company are currently in the second year of a ten-year plan to return to the top of the phones market since being usurped by Apple in 2007.
The company’s aim is to make a smartphone that has the classic Nokia feel, which we are taking to mean ‘impervious to damage’ and ‘has Snake on it’.
According to The Telegraph, the company’s chief executive Rajeev Suri has said “There’s no rush, there’s no timeline. It could happen in 2016, it could happen later.”
Let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later.
