Well… that was weird.
People on Twitter are incredibly confused about an advert that went out on ITV at half time in the England vs Russia.
It started with David Seaman and Darren Anderton talking about something that happened 20 years ago.
Euro ’96? OK, cool, but why are they talking about Euro ’96?
Nope. Not Euro ’96. Out of nowhere, it turned into an advert for Independence Day – Resurgence.
It… it has to be seen to be fully believed.
We knew they’d come back! Check out #IndependenceDay #Resurgence #ENGvRUS #EURO2016 @IanWright0 @thedavidseaman https://t.co/jwomeBfidF

What was Darren Anderton doing there?!
The world would be ending and Darren Anderton would still hand in a sick note #Resurgence

But, as weird as it was, it went down pretty well…
I'd pay money to hear you do the President's speech. #Resurgence
