YES, YES, YES, YES

EA Sports has confirmed the return of indoor and street football for FIFA 20, which saw its first official trailer released to the public on Saturday afternoon.

Called “Volta Football”, the new feature allows players to set up and join matches on indoor and outdoor street pitches, which will mean that passing the ball off the wall to get it back on the other side is back on the menu.

According to EA’s official website, the new feature will let you “customise and personalise your female or male in-game avatar with a range of clothing, hairstyles, tattoos, and in-game celebratory emotes”.

So that means you will be kitted out in hoodies, trackies, shorts, T-shirts, trainers – whatever you want – as you carry out (and if you’re like us, fail) with tricks and skills.

It would appear that “Volta Football” will allow you to play as a team or a solitary player, with EA’s website stating that you can “build up your squad in VOLTA World, lead your player through the VOLTA Story Mode, play through Promotion and Relegation in the online VOLTA League, or take your favourite professional teams to the streets in VOLTA Kick-Off”.

Game modes available in “Volta Football” will include 3v3 Rush (No GK’s), 4v4, 4v4 Rush, 5v5 – and the EA website also confirms that there are as of now three areas to play: Amsterdam, London and Tokyo.

FIFA 19 featured outdoor football briefly – during the prologue of the latest edition of “The Journey” – so there was a hope that EA would make it a full feature this year.
