The makers of game have had to remove certain content for a console release.
Horror game Agony, which has been widely touted to be perhaps one of the best – or at least most terrifying – horror games of the year, will be censored before being released on consoles, while the PC version of the game will feature a patch to restore censored content.
The first-person survival horror game is being developed by Madmind Studios and was due for release on March 30, but has found itself delayed by issues over its age rating and has yet to be given a new release date.
The issues in question are believed to pertain to the levels of graphic violence, torture and nudity; hardly surprising for a game set in hell.
In a bid to achieve a rating of Mature rather than Adult Only (AO) rating, which would have prevented the title’s release on all consoles.

It has been confirmed that all versions of the game will be identical, meaning that the PC version – as well as the console game – will be devoid of the most controversial content upon release.
