No matter where your footballing allegiances lie, it’s hard not to have some kind of sympathy for Radamel Falcao.
Once one of the most feared strikers on the planet, the Colombian has never fully recaptured his goalscoring touch since arriving in England following a serious knee injury.
But while the internet might enjoy making poor old Radamel’s finishing the butt of the jokes, you can’t knock the man for taking pride in his appearance.
While his ability to put the ball in the back of the net might not be what it once was, Falcao is still determined to have one of the most immaculate hairdos in the world of football. So much so, he’s specifically requested that a hair-stylist makes a 400-mile round trip to make sure he gets the perfect blow dry.
Ed Mascarenhas was the man responsible for trimming Falcao’s famous long locks towards the end of his stay at Manchester United, and it seems that his work left such an impression on the striker that he’s brought him down to London for a Brazilian blow dry, according to the Manchester Evening News.
“Falcao loves a Brazilian blow dry,” Mascarenhas explains. “The treatment is revolutionary.”
“It smooths and sleeks the hair giving the client manageable hair that takes very little styling.”
