Phillip Schofield apologised for the blunder
This Morning‘s Phillip Schofield has been forced to apologise after Martin Clunes’ verbal rampage on the show.
Clunes, 59, joined presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby to talk about his portrayal of Metropolitan Police Senior Investigating Officer Colin Sutton in the new series of ITV crime drama Manhunt.
During his description of the show’s portrayal of crime, Clunes let slip three swear words.

Clunes said that in the show, we “just see the stop the b*****d.”
He repeated that someone had commented on his character’s “b****y cardigan.”

Willoughby then asked the actor why he chose this role after turning similar ones down. Martin replied: “I don’t really enjoy those t****r of the yard, I call them.”
The new series focuses on the real story of the infamously-brutal serial rapist Delroy Grant. Over a 17-year-period, Grant targeted elderly people in the South East of London, where it is believed he committed nearly 100 crimes.
Schofield then addressed the camera directly once Clunes had finished talking, saying: “I haven’t apologised for each of the bits of bad language, because obviously it would take up far too much time.
“So what I’m going to do is apologise for all three of them in one sort of big apology. ”
Martin then apologised for his language, remarking: “Oh yeah…sorry.”
The trio was in hysterics as they tried to recover from the blunder.
“Other swear words are available,” Phil added.
“It’s good to have you back,” he laughed as Martin asked: “Shall I just go?”
“Did #MartinClunes just casually throw in three swear words in that short interview on #ThisMorning?” tweeted one fan.
“This is just the sort of morning entertainment the UK needs,” said another.
