He posted fake ultrasound images on Instagram
Justin Beiber has apologised for an April Fool’s prank which implied that his wife Hailey Beber was pregnant.
The Canadian singer posted a series of images that suggested he and his partner were expecting.
First, he posted an ultrasound, without comment.

He followed that up with a series of photos of Hailey in what appeared to be a doctor’s office, looking down at a presumably-pregnant stomach.
Finally, he posted a second Instagram – this time with a dog photoshopped onto it. And this time there was a caption confirming it was an April Fool’s prank, just in case anyone hadn’t figured it out yet.
The ruse, however, drew ire from some fans online, claiming that joking about pregnancy was insensitive to those couples who had trouble conceiving children.

Justin Bieber then apologised for the prank in a follow-up post, saying that “there are always poeple going to be offended,” but that “didn’t at all mean to be insensitive”.
“There’s always gonna be people offended, there’s also people who don’t take jokes very well,” said the singer in the post. “I am a prankster and it was APRIL FOOLS.”
“I didn’t at all mean to be insensitive to people who can’t have children. A lot of people I know, their first go to prank on April fools is telling their parents they are pregnant to get a big reaction. But I will apologize anyway and take responsibility and say sorry to people who were offended. I truly don’t want anyone to be hurt by a prank.”
