The Beauty and the Beast is actually a love story about Eastern weather systems
Oi oi, love, nice bit o’ weather you got there. Phwoar, what a warm front. Ten days? Gimme more gimme more.
Early forecasts indicate that we could see another unseasonal heatwave, this time in May, this time for 10 days.
We copped the hottest April day for 70 years last week, when temperatures in London clocked in at 29.1C. And although it’s expected to get colder in the next week, now that Britain has had its annual allocation of summer, May could be roasting.
It’s all down to another weather system from the East, except this time it’s not a beast. Rather, the ‘beauty from the East’ could raise are temperatures to sausage sizzling levels.
The Weather Channel’s Sarah Sammy said: “High pressure over central Europe will drift eastward and another area of high pressure will build over the North Atlantic.
“During this time, an area of low pressure in between will split, and the smaller low will stall for a while near the Bay of Biscay and pump up warmer air over the UK.”
I can deal with that.
