Cannabis could be good for your health…say US Government

Before you read on – we’re not in any way advocating an illegal drug, but this is interesting stuff.

For years it’s been claimed that cannabis can (in some ways) be beneficial to us and now this appears to have been confirmed… by the US government.

According to a report published by the National Cancer Institute, part of the US Department of Health, ‘cannabinoids may be useful in treating the side effects of cancer and cancer treatment’. This may be done in a number of ways: smoking, eating, drinking or even  by spraying underneath the tongue.

Interestingly, the information page also describes how, when testing on mice, cancer cells were killed when exposed to cannabis.

It is also believed to have benefits when blocking cell growth, preventing the development of blood cells that supply tumours and relieving the muscle spasms caused by multiple sclerosis.

Now they’re making serious tax dollars off cannabis sales, they’ve really changed their tune on the drug. It’s a funny old world.
