As is the done thing these days, fan cams were patrolling the streets outside Stamford Bridge in the aftermath of Chelsea’s recent defeat to Liverpool.
One of them bumped into an irate Chelsea supporter, who was adamant that Jose Mourinho should remain as Chelsea manager.
Ironically, while Mourinho has kept his job, the fan’s comments in the interview have landed him in trouble with his own employers.
Having branded the Liverpool supporters “scouse scum”, it was later revealed that the man was an award-winning corporate lawyer named Clive O’Connell.
A partner at Goldberg Segalla, it now appears that the international law firm have terminated their partnership with O’Connell.
In the video below, Rick Cohen, the firm’s managing partner, makes it clear that O’Connell’s comments were unacceptable.
“Clive O’Connell’s comments are entirely inconsistent with our ethos,” he states.
