The Christmas parade ended with five dead and dozens injured
The “person of interest” in Sunday’s attack in Waukesha, Wisconsin, who ploughed through crowds at a Christmas parade, was bailed out of jail two days before the attack.
Amateur rapper Darrell Brooks, 39, allegedly drove through a Christmas parade that killed five people and injured dozens more.

But on November 5, Brooks was charged with felony bail jumping, recklessly endangering safety, battery, disorderly conduct, and resisting an officer on November 2.

According to court records, Brooks posted a $1,000 cash bond on November 19.
Though nothing has been confirmed as of yet, NBC cites five unnamed law enforcement sources that state Brooks is currently in custody for the attack that happened two days after his bail.
Brooks was detained shortly after the red SUV drove through the parade in Waukesha, which left at least 12 children injured. His vehicle was reportedly located on West College Avenue, five blocks away from the incident.
Waukesha Police Chief Daniel Thompson confirmed that no motive had been established as of yet, but police officials are not currently discounting terrorism. Another lead suggests that Brooks was fleeing an earlier incident involving a knife, but this is also yet to be confirmed.
At the time, Corey Montiho, a Waukesha school district board member, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: “There were pompoms and shoes and spilled hot chocolate everywhere. I had to go from one crumpled body to the other to find my daughter”, adding, “Please pray for everybody. Please pray.”
A press conference has been scheduled for 2 pm EST (19:00), and it is expected that more details will be revealed then.
