It was just a tweet. One tweet, but Gareth Bale’s name will be mud in the Spurs half of North London now.
The former Tottenham hero only went and wished bitter rivals Arsenal good luck in the FA Cup.
Real Madrid forward Bale tweeted countryman Aaron Ramsey and England star Theo Walcott with a message of support.
Good luck for today lads in the #FACupFinal ! @theowalcott @aaronramsey

But it didn’t go down too well with the White Hart Lane faithful.
Bale has ruffled every feather of that famous old Spurs cockerel in less than 140 characters.
The responses were predictably severe…
@GarethBale11 @theowalcott @aaronramsey NAH YOU SHOW NO RESPECT TO SPURS

@GarethBale11 @theowalcott @aaronramsey Your Dead to me…

@GarethBale11 @theowalcott @aaronramsey HOW DARE YOU

@GarethBale11 @theowalcott @aaronramsey What about Tim? He discovered you. Ungrateful

Suppose we’d better stick his name on this list.
