If there’s one thing that pretty much everyone in the internet age knows, it is not to mess with Anonymous.
The infamous network of super-skilled hackers are a force to be reckoned with, but racist organisation Klu Klux Klan, in their typically luddite way, just don’t know when to quit.
It all kicked off between the brainless hate-mongers and the vigilante hackers when the KKK threatened to use “lethal force” on anyone protesting the grand jury decision not to charge Ferguson cop Darren Wilson. Anonymous weren’t having that and launched ‘Operation KKK’ to out the secretive outfit.
Since then, the Klan have threatened members of the hacktivist network with violence – which probably isn’t the wisest move for a group of hooded racists desperate to preserve their privacy.
Anonymous have now released the following statement:
‘Ku Klux Klan, We never stopped watching you. We know who you are. We know the dangerous extent to which you will go to cover your asses. Originally, we did not attack you for your beliefs as we fight for freedom of speech. We attacked you due to your threats to use lethal force in the Ferguson protests. We took this grudge between us rather seriously. You continue to threaten anons and others. We never said we would only strike once.
‘You are abhorrent. Criminal. You are more than extremists. You are more than a hate group. You operate much more like terrorists and you should be recognized as such. You are terrorists that hide your identities beneath sheets and infiltrate society on every level.
‘The privacy of the Ku Klux Klan no longer exists in cyberspace. You’ve had blood on your hands for nearly 200 years.’
They intend to reveal the identities of 1,000 KKK members on November 24 – the one year anniversary of the original Ferguson protests…
