We’ve got a pretty long list of questions we’d like to put to Leonardo DiCaprio.
A few examples: How does it feel to be one the most memefied people on earth? How long did it take to get *that* CGI bear scene perfect? Can you still do a South African accent? What the fuck is Inception actually about? Do you ever watch the video for ‘My Heart Will Go On’ when you’re hungover?
Just a small sample of questions there.
But as much as the Oscar (finally) winning actor would no doubt appreciate our inquisitive minds, an informal one-on-one with the man himself has always felt a bit unlikely.
Until now.
DiCaprio is heading to Edinburgh next month to visit a brand new restaurant called Home, the joint venture of Social Bite – a popular independent sandwich shop that donates all its profits to social causes – and Masion Bleue.
Naturally, Leo doesn’t want to eat his panini alone, so he’s offering one lucky sod the chance to join him.
All you need to do is head here and donate £5 to giving the homeless a meal at the new restaurant, and you’ll be entered into the VIP prize draw.
As well as serving good grub to the pubic, Home provides those in need with free meals, as well as giving homeless people jobs and the training they need to get back on their feet, so it’s a very worthwhile project to get behind.
Also in attendance at the exclusive lunch will be Sir Tom Hunter, chairman of the Scottish Business Awards, which DiCaprio has been lined up to speak at on the same day.
The winner will also get an overnight stay with dinner at The George Hotel for two, 1st class travel within Scotland with ScotRail (where available), £1,000 Champagne and shopping experience at ROX, George Street in the Scottish capital. Not bad.
You can buy as many vouchers as you like, but you’ve only got until 7am tomorrow morning to get your pledge in, so head to itison.com pronto.
The winner will be selected and informed on November 11, and needs to be free on November 17. You’ll also need to be over 18 to enter.
And should anyone reading this emerge as the chosen candidate, remember the golden rule: pics or it didn’t happen.
