Understandably, Gary Linkeker wasn’t in the best of moods on Tuesday morning.
As if watching England’s embarrassing defeat in Nice wasn’t tough enough, Lineker then had to present the ‘highlights’ of the show for the BBCÂ later on on Monday night.
His Twitter feed fell silent after presenting Match of the Day but his first tweet on Tuesday wasn’t football-related. Instead, it was about Nigel Farage – who was making an appearance at the European parliament.
In case you missed it, Lineker let us all know exactly what he though of the UKIP leader ahead of the European referendum, when he described him as a ‘dick’.
Whatever the result, Farage will always be a dick.

On Tuesday though, he went further: initially apologising for branding him that before explaining that Farage is ‘a lot worse’…
I was wrong when I called Farage a dick and I apologise. He's a lot worse than that.

Not a great few days for Gary, then.
Our politics is as crap as our football. What a week!
