This week has already brought the brilliant news that bacon can prolong your life, and now it turns out eggs are the perfect accompaniment. Winning.
A new study reveals that eating just four eggs a week can reduce the risk of diabetes by more than a third.
But let’s be clear: We’re talking about hens’ eggs, not chocolatey Easter treats.
The research by the University of Eastern Finland found that men who eat four eggs a week have a 37% lower chance of contracting the disease than men who only eat one a week.
However, eating more than four eggs proved to have no discernible difference on combating risk. So don’t go stuffing yourselves for no reason.
