It’s Britain’s hottest day of the year and people are struggling

It's sodding hot.

Warm today, huh?

Really warm.

Like hottest day of 2016 warm.

Britain has found itself in the midst of a lovely little heatwave this week with temperatures in the high twenties and early thirties.

To quote Ray Winstone in Sexy Beast, “Bloody hell. I’m sweating in here. Roasting. Boiling. Baking. Sweltering. It’s like a sauna. Furnace. You can fry an egg on my stomach.”

It’s really hot.

So of course, in true British spirit, people are complaining about it.

It’s a lot today

Like, a lot.

It’s even affecting people’s ability to work.

Animals aren’t coping.

People are taking drastic steps to keep cool

Although others reminded us to be grateful.

In true British style, it’ll be over soon.

Stay cool folks

Cherish the good moments.

The heatwave looks set to continue into Wednesday, as the BBC predicts another 30 degree day.

But like the good friends we are at JOE, we’ve got you covered through this summer heat. Here’s our guide as to a few things that ALWAYS happen whenever we get a bit of a heatwave.

Curious as to why you’ve got that one mate who sweats so much? We have the answer.

Oh, and just incase you feel like donning some shorts to beat the heat tomorrow, enjoy our style guide.

And remember folks, stay hydrated: cotton is your friend, and a little baby powder down your boxers goes a long way.
