Jeremy Clarkson has hit back at recent claims that made him out to be one of the biggest divas on the planet.
It was recently reported he once demanded a helicopter to fetch him gravy and a game of Monopoly – and ordered a Range Rover just so he ‘could look at it’ during a promo event in New Zealand.
According to the Mail, I once demanded a helicopter to get me some gravy. Where do they come up with this nonsense?

To be clear, I've also never demanded a game of monopoly or a Range Rover so I could "look at it".

It wasn’t a story by the Daily Mail, they just covered it. The story was first reported in the New Zealand Herald using claims made by Ed Coutts, owner of accommodation provider Waiheke Unlimited.
Coutts told the publication: “The cost was outrageous and the show’s promoters were complaining they were going broke.”
Talking of the Range Rover, he said: “It never got used. I asked what was the point and he said, ‘I just wanted to look at it’.”
But Jezza insists he is ‘making stuff up’…
The story seems to be coming from a Kiwi who's promoting his business by making stuff up about people who use it.

Clearly rattled, he then advised his 5.5m followers not to bother visiting the place where the story originated from – New Zealand’s Waiheke island. But JOE says definitely do visit – it’s beautiful.
My advice to anyone wishing to visit Waiheke Island is: don't.

Jezza then proceeded to tell his version of the story…why the gravy though?
I did ask the helicopter pilot if he'd get me a game of Risk. Much better than Monopoly. He offered to get gravy as well. I declined.

And for a final dig…
It wasn't while we were filming for the BBC though. So none of you should be that bothered.
