Let it never be said that Jeremy Corbyn likes to get down with the people.
This weekend saw the Labour Party leader attend a fundraiser in West Wales as a guest speaker.
In between talking to grassroots members of the party, Corbyn took time out for a Snapchat faceswap selfie with Leah Lane, a young Labour women’s officer from Llanelli.

“The picture came about when everyone was having pictures with him and I just thought ‘Oh hey why not ask for a face swap'”, says Leah about the snap. “He agreed and found it almost as funny as I did. It was nice to see a politician so involved.”
Corbyn also made time to talk to young people at the fundraiser between photos.
“Being part of young Labour the involvement of young people in politics came up and he suggested a union group to attend as part of an event I held in college,” says Leah. “He seemed like he genuinely cared and wanted to know about everything going on in the area.”
Now we’re just waiting for every politician to jump on the trend.
