Liam Gallagher’s surprise performance at One Love Manchester was one of the highlights of an emotional night.
Appearing on stage after a performance from Coldplay, Liam dedicated Oasis song Live Forever to those affected by the Manchester Arena bombing on May 22.
Prior to the concert, it had been rumoured that Liam would be joined by the other Gallagher brother, Noel, with Oasis making a sensational return. This wasn’t to be, and although Liam’s appearance caused plenty of excitement, there was also disappointment that Noel wasn’t in attendance.
As we’re all more than well aware, the Gallagher brothers haven’t always seen eye to eye down the years. Although some reports might have claimed that Liam had been attempting to build bridges with his older brother in recent weeks, his response to Noel’s no-show on Sunday night shows that there’s plenty of work to be done.
On Monday morning, a sweary tweet from Liam made clear that Noel had been out of the country at the time of the concert. It also made clear that Liam didn’t see this as a valid reason for him missing the event.
‘Get on a f**cking plane and play your tunes for the kids you sad f**k,’ he tweeted.
