Without a hint of irony, the Brexit party leader used a BBC interview to complain that the BBC didn’t pay him enough attention
Nigel Farage exploded into rage during an interview with Andre Marr on Sunday morning. The Brexit Party leader was making his second appearance on the BBC this week and was asked by Marr about his views on a range of topics, from NHS to climate change.
Unhappy with the line of questioning, Farage descended into rage and asked repeatedly “what is wrong with the BBC?”, accusing Marr of conducting the most ‘ridiculous’ interview ever.
Farage wanted to discuss the upcoming European elections, and was furious to have been asked about his views on anything other than Brexit, a topic which he has shied away from in the past.
“Here we are with one of the biggest changes in politics that’s ever occurred and you’re not even interested. What is wrong with the BBC? What is wrong with the BBC?
“I’ve been going round the country speaking at packed rallies every night and do you know who’s not there? The BBC, and from this line of questioning now I can see why.
“You’re just not interested, are you? You are just not interested. Let’s talk about democracy, let’s talk about trust, let’s talk about competence in politics. This is ludicrous.”

“This is absolutely ludicrous. I’ve never in my life seen a more ridiculous interview than this. You are not prepared to talk about what is going on in this country today. You’re in denial, the BBC is in denial, the Tory and Labour parties are in denial,” he continued.
Speaking about the European elections, he said: “I think you’re all in for a bigger surprise on Thursday week than you can even imagine.”
The Brexit Party currently lead the polls for the European elections at 34%, with more support than Labour and the Conservatives combined.
