What’s it like being the only gay in a village?
Biddulph Moor is a quaint village in Staffordshire Moorlands, the source of the River Trent. Its nearest railway station, four miles away. Its nearest city, Stoke-on-Trent, is a further 10 miles the opposite direction.
It has approximately 1,640 residents, three churches, two shops, two pubs, one school and… Lucie Carter, the only gay in the village.
In this video, Lucie details her experiences as growing up and coming out as gay in a tiny English village.
